About Us

When we first came up with the idea of It’s Personal, we imagined an online store where customers could find quality embroidered gifts. With our own knowledge of children’s clothing and gifts (Donna co-owned and was a buyer at a children’s boutique for 20 years and Lucy has two little ones), we started there and then added adult items and accessories – something for everyone!

We had our first open house in May 2008 and have been busy ever since! Located in both Oakton, VA and Virginia Beach (Lucy moved there in 2009), we are a home-based business. We do all of the embroidery ourselves and we love how you can reinvent something with embroidery!
